Instead of thinking up something cutesy to say, I'll paraphrase my profile from somewhere else:



I am Silence, self-proclaimed freak. I'm quite proud and can be full of myself. I like garden gnomes, plastic pink flamingos and making daisy chains.

I am born-and-bred Australian, with more than a bit of Irish in me. I'm known for my mood swings, but I like to think that I'm generally a pleasant person - I've been compared to puppies more than once. I'm easily excitable, but generally I try to keep it under wraps - I don't want to scare people away, do I?

I can be very prickly, and I take my debates seriously. I'm very passionate, and when people argue with me, I will stoop to any level to make sure that they don't do it again. I think I can sufficiently hold my own.

I have female anatomy, but I prefer to refer to myself as androgynous. Please, out of my own comfort and peace of mind, keep this in mind, but do not refer to me as an 'it' or a 'hir'. He or she, him or her is fine - Not it, and not hir.

What's this religion thing all about?

I'm very much a neo-pagan, though I don't have one specific title that I can sit with. I don't follow a specific faith practice and I don't work with others. What I do is my own, though I know that I didn't create what I do. I take things from sources as I need them, and it fits me.

I pay respects to the earth and the sky as deities or spirits in their own respect who sustain life on this planet; I do not work with them, I simply thank them and try to pay my respects each day. When I pray, it is to the earth and the sky that I pray. I have a patron-ish-maybe deity who I work with for everything else deity-ish, that is Eros, the Greek God of love, lust and such things. I'm a polytheist sometimes, and a pantheist other times. I haven't decided yet.

I consider myself a spiritual animist, but if I am, I'm sure not as respectful towards things as I should be. Aren't I bad little hypocritical girl? I like working with animal energies, although that part of my practice has only just begun to unfold so I'm very much a newb.

I came to the realization that I have these theriotypes in January of 2008, after spending a good few years in a sort of 'crisis' stage. Therian.wikia.com describes therianthropy as "A phenomenon in which a human strongly identifies in a psychological and/or spiritual way with a certain animal (or creature) to the point of considering themselves to be that animal."
